The third quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends for the top 5 cryptocurrency apps in Panama, as aggregated from both iOS and Android platforms. Below, we delve into the weekly downloads and active user metrics for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto experienced a notable rise in weekly downloads, starting from around 184 in late June and peaking at 1.3K in early September. This upward trend was mirrored by an increase in weekly active users, which grew from approximately 5.2K to nearly 9.8K over the same period.

MetaMask - Blockchain Wallet saw fluctuations in its weekly downloads. The app started with 53 downloads at the end of June and saw a significant spike to 843 in early September, before dropping to 127 by the end of the quarter. Active users for MetaMask also showed growth, rising from 272 to a peak of 1.6K, but then slightly declining to 1.1K by the end of September.

Chivo Wallet, released in early September, quickly gained traction with weekly downloads starting at 451 and reaching 742 by mid-September, before settling at 490 by the end of the month. The active user base also expanded rapidly from 120 to over 1.7K within the same timeframe.

Status - Gateway to Ethereum had a diverse performance in weekly downloads. Initially high at 746 in early July, the numbers saw a significant decline, dropping to as low as 16 by late August. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 177 and ending at 27 by the end of the quarter.

Trust: Crypto & Bitcoin Wallet maintained relatively stable weekly download numbers, ranging from 47 to 150 across the quarter. The app's active users showed consistency as well, growing slightly from 881 to over 1K by the end of September.
